Hello! I think this site is a great idea and was really glad to see it come online!

I had a comment regarding showers – figured I’d post it here just in case there is someone over there who can provide more information or maybe even ‘pull some strings’ ;-)
I work for Duke at the Smith Warehouse Bldg. (114 S. Buchanan – quite a few Duke administrative offices are now housed here). I’ve always wanted to be able to ride at lunch time (for a workout, etc.) and I know I’m not the only one (I’ve spoken with others who wish they could either ride or go for a run). The problem is there are no shower facilities here at Smith Warehouse, and with the limited time window I have at lunch that’s the only way I would really be able to swing it.
At any rate, I figured I mention it, and regardless I’ll looking forward to any information that shows up on the “Showers” page.

Hi Scott. I take my post-commute showers at the East Campus Gym (Brodie). It requires a gym membership for Duke employees that costs less than $20/month. For more info see

There is (or was, last I checked) a shower in Duke South on the 4th floor at the transition between yellow and green zones (very random and not terribly practical). And then of course for med students there is the student lounge in Duke North.

There is a shower in the annex to Hudson Hall. It is a private, unisex bathroom. If you are on Research Drive and turn into the little parking lot by Hudson, in the glass doors near the dumpster, you will find the bathroom.

There is also a shower on the lower floor of the French Family Science Building. It is on the South-West side of the building in the men’s room.
